An Exercise in Light

  • I don’t know about you, but I often have trouble shooting photos indoors, especially when there is no natural light.  These photos today were of the shadows on the rug in the health food store where I am working temporarily.  There is some sunlight, obviously, but I was focusing in on the shadows on the floor so I needed to look at the lights in the store as well.  So, the first two were shot in Aperture mode and the last five in manual mode, while trying 3 different White Balance settings in my Olympus E-510 DSLR.  I did not do any post processing because I wanted you to see what happened straight out of the camera (SOOC)  If you click on one of the photos in the gallery, you will be taken to a viewer where you will see the exif info and be able to tell what what my settings were for each photo.  Feel free to leave comments on your experience with shooting indoors with inside lights (not natural lighting).
